니콜라스 월터스토프 교수 소개
니콜라스 월터스토프(Nicholas Wolterstorff, 1932-) 교수는 캘빈 칼리지에서 학사학위를, 하버드 대학교에서 철학박사학위를 받았다. 캘빈 칼리지 철학교수를 역임했으며, 하버드 대학교, 프린스턴 대학교, 옥스퍼드 대학교, 화란 자유대학교에서 방문교수로 지냈으며, 현재 예일 대학교의 철학적 신학의 노아 포터 명예교수이며, 버클리 칼리지의 펠로우이다. 그는 철학과 신학을 폭넓게 다루면서 형이상학, 미학, 정치철학, 인식론, 신학, 종교철학 등에 관한 많은 저술을 남겼다. 그는 앨빈 플랜팅가(Alvin Plantinga), 윌리엄 얼스턴(William Alston), 리처드 마우(Richard Mouw) 등과 더불어 미국 기독교철학회(the Society of Christian Philosophers)를 세웠으며, 학술지 Faith and Philosophy를 창간했다.
